Starting a new project is never easy. For years, if not decades, I’ve been passionate about role-playing games. I’ve seen, tried, and played countless of them, always as a GM (or DM, Gamekeeper, or whatever you want to call it…) because I love thinking up and writing stories to submit to my players.
I’ve lived through almost three decades of RPGs and Fantasy. I’ve seen systems come and go. I’ve appreciated everything, from M.E.R.P. to G.U.R.P.S., including Rolemaster and Call of Cthulhu, with a nod to Paranoia and Vampires… but my great passion will always be Dungeons & Dragons. The classic ones, the “bad” ones… the ones from the ’80s and ’90s when playing D&D was a “nerd” thing and certainly not trendy.
Many will wonder what my purpose is.
The aim is simple, based on a vision of role-playing that, today, often seems anachronistic, aimed at having a dialogue with the new generations (especially of GMs) to offer everyone, including myself, a possible tool for growth in the game and, why not, even personal growth…
This entire blog, by my own will, will be two-faced and two-language. Italian, my native language, and that of my new homeland, the United Kingdom, so that I can hopefully also interact with visions of this fantastic hobby from around the world…
I hope to find many friends who, driven by this same passion, will decide to embark with me on this journey, the destination of which, honestly, I can’t even imagine right now…
